<description>My site's a work in progress - cleaning up years of mess &#38; finding the right elements to use w/Wordpress. I've been experimenting with plugins &#38; themes to see what is a good fit for what I'm wanting to do. I'm very new at this and there's still a lot of work to do in what little spare time I have!

I think I might have an answer for people for when their plugins can't be seen.

I found that when I extracted some folders, a "shell folder" with the same name housed another folder with the same name that had all the content for the plugin. This doesn't happen all the time, though, which puzzles me. If you just upload that folder without checking inside to see if it's a "shell", the plugin is "invisible" to wordpress because when it opens the content folder, it can't go anywhere else - there's another content folder!

Now I check all the folders before uploading. If there's a content folder inside, I just extract that folder, leaving the "shell" behind. This fixed my problem.

For those plugins already uploaded, I went in, moved the inside folder to the themes and deleted the outside folder. Wordpress could then use the content. Sometimes I had to change the name of the outside folder so that the two could co-exist, but it saved me oodles of time &#38; work and got my plugins to work.

NOW for the task of finding something for adding webconferencing ability and a few other goodies.

Good luck, and thank you for putting a way for newbies like me to learn.
