There are times when you want to download a youtube video and save it as another format. The reasons for this will vary, but usually it’s so you can edit the video and use it someplace else.
A word of caution….if you decide to download a youtube video for another use, you should get permission from the author of that video. Drop the author an email and ask for permission so you have it in writing.
Ok….here’s the good stuff. I found a free online service that will allow you to download a youtube video and save it in a variety of other formats. Its called Zomzar and it’s an awesome free file conversion service….give it a try!

Tiffany Dow the world renowned Squidoo Expert (should get me a few points) faces off with Jonathan Leger the Madman who created the $7 Dollar Script explosion
Jonathan stumbles through the creation of a squidoo lense and then attempts to drive some traffic to it. He documents his thought process and his attempt to create a number 1 ranking lense….which he ultimately does, that is, he is #1 or #2 in squidoo for his lense.
Then Jonathan applies some IM logic to why his lense fails at generating income…concluding that squidoo might not be all its cut out to. Actually, Jonathan Legers approach and documentation are excellent in terms of study, and I’d be remiss if I didn’t compliment him for the authority he’s gained as an internet marketer and for the knowledge and wisdom he freely disperses. Well….my friend Michel Komarov from http://askmichel.icoder.com has provided us with another of his awesome scripts for solutions to our internet marketing problems. This time he has provided Free Unstoppable Popups with an Unstoppable Exit Popup option.
After reading his blog post I was concerned that the popups were standard popups and not the unblockable kind. Well….Michel took the time to reply to my question and you can see his answer in the comments section…..in short, yes, these are unblockable and you can read his explaination of why this is true.
If you’re on a budget this is an awesome way to get the code needed for an unblockable popup. Believe me, popups work and they will make you money…however, I implore you to use these with due diligence, you don’t want to make a pest of yourself or be obnoxious with popups.
What’s really cool about his latest post is that he now provides you with the code for and unblockable exit popup. This is invaluable! Once your visitor leaves, you can hit him one more time with a popup upon exiting your website. You can make a free offer, collect an email and name or maybe present a survey…..the options are unlimited and to be blunt….at this point they are leaving your site, they might never come back, if your timid about using popups upon entry to your site….who really cares what they think of you when they leave, its just one more chance to do what a good marketer does….provide something of value and collect their name and email address to build your list.
Although this free option is excellent, I’d be remiss not to mention one of my favorite popup generators called Dynamic Popup Generator by Michael Hopkins, now in version 3. DPG does everything the Michel’s free version does plus it is a professional tool allowing you to save your projects, an do about 100 other things with popups. Use popups with discrection and give DPG a try….did I mention that you can download a fully function version to try. You are limited to the time of use, however, you can keep and use any popups, hover ads, popunders, and exitpops you create. You need to see this to believe it, but either way, use some type of popup to build your list and focus on your offer.
Jason Potash and company, great guys from the Portalfeeder.com membership have come up with another free software application that’s a bargin at half the price Really….this is another application in the same genre of Orwell, this application is called CommentKahuna and you’d better get there before he takes the link down.
You might know Jason Katzenback, Marc Quarles & Jason Potash from Portalfeeder fame. An excellent membership that I was once part of. I would have stayed on, however, illness hit me hard and I had to let my membership lapse…..something I really hated to do because these guys have a real winner and the members are first class.
Comment Kahuna is a free software application you can have in exchange for your name and email address….and trust me, these guys won’t spam you to death. In fact, whenever they send something out I find their information of great value and well worth your time to read.
CommentKahuna finds quality blogs that accepts comments and the exact subjects (keywords) you’re working with. If you’re new to this, blog comments allow you to insert your website url which will develop traffic to your blog or website. The current version of the Comment Kahuna brings up both follow and no follow comment sections. It sounds like the next version will allow you to search for blogs that allow the follow tag.
Don’t dissallow this first version though, because Comment Kahuna allows you to search for blogs with a defined page rank. So if you’re looking for a blogs page rank 3 and above, you know they are going to be getting organic search and thus delivering real live visitors to these blogs…..if you leave a relevant comment, chances are someone will click on your link and visit your blog…..after, that’s what it’s all about. That is, getting people to visit your blog….right?
