The opportunity to sell info products online has exloded. Today you can get the same quality material for free that I had to pay $50 to $100 for…..4 or 5 years ago. There are plr memberships, resell memberships, free memberships that distribute books, audios and videos. So…there is plenty to sell. Not to mention the field of affiliate marketing is wide open, find a product…promote it and you collect 50% or more of the sale price of that book. And, Clickbank is probably the best place to start, check out the post I made on Ebooks to Sell and look around.
Did I mention Public Domain….? All you have to do is find a public domain book you like, and republish, put your name on it, take sections out of the book. You’re unlimited in possibilities, not only that, but public domain applies to just about any type of publication…such as audio, video, government publications. There are rules and you need to understand what’s allowed and what is really in the public domain. Here’s a brief introduction to Public Domain. You can find further and more indepth information about Public Domain Resources by clicking on that link!
But…maybe you’re a purist and want your very own product. You can’t write, you can do programming and you stink at website and graphic design.
So if you don’t have a product yet and want to get one, learn how to use some of the outsourcing services such as www.elance.com. Go there and look around, you’ll get an idea of what type of work/product you can have made. You’ll be surprised how cheap it can be………..but………………DO SOMETHING! Elance is a great place to start!

I listened to a webinar by Eric Graham about Headlines. He he on some great points, some things I already knew and some interesting new information. Bottom line, when listening to a “good” teleseminar or webinar, you get reminded of what you need to do and apply what you already know. Eric did a great job and glad I tuned in….anyway, here’s a couple of points you might find interesting when you start working on your own headlines.
Tahoma is the font type that pulls the best. Although “Impact” can sometimes pull better, the only problem is that this headline is often best done with your graphics editor.
Do you think Red is the best font color? Everybody is using red headlines…..right? Actually it does work best in most markets, it has been over used in Internet Marketing so it’s effectiveness in Internet Marketing is often not that effective……remember….test, test, test! The top 3 colors are:
Black….actually dark red #CCOOOO
Dark Blue #000066 and #000099 …. don’t use underlines
Dark Red #cc0000
Headline Lenth
Trends are toward shorter headlines. The best according to Eric Graham are 8 to 14 words for the main headling. Next best is 14 to 21 words.
The type of traffic will be affected by headline lenght, for instance affiliate, jv, or inhouse list allows you to use much larger headlines than PPC and Organic traffic.
Video Traffic also seems to be more tolerant of longer headlines, Eric says this is a generality so use that fact when considering this.
The key thought is to track according to traffic source!
Fonts
Font size for Tahoma is 16 point and Impact 25 point.
When using short headlines use a bigger font!

Is there a wordpress plugin that will automatically create tags at the end of my post? I need the tags to make the AutoSocialPoster AutoSocialPoster plugin work automatically…that is when I automate posting.
I can add the tags manually, but wondered if there was some sort of plugin that added tags in the form of {tags]dogs,cats,horses,rats[/tags} and would pick these from the main body of the post.
The AutoSocialPoster does this automatically but I don’t quite understand how its done and would like to have the tags in the format I mentioned.
I did a google search but didn’t get any definitive answers.
I’ve gotten a plenty of questions lately about why I think “mini” sites, simple 1-2 page websites, are better than “traditional” websites you might learn to build in school or from a website design course.
In fact, I believe “traditional” websites represent a complete waste of time and end up making small and home- based business owners give up on the Internet before they even have a chance to get started.
If you want to cash in fast on the web, stop thinking about making “web” sites and start thinking about “mini” sites.
Basically, traditional sites try to be all things to all people.
If you go to somebody’s website and you see:
“Sign up for my newsletter”;
“Buy my product”;
“Check out these links”;
“Check out our article archive”;
“Click Here for the article of the day”;
“Subscribe to this RSS feed”;
“Visit our blog!”
…. it just creates confusion.
In other words, visitors arrive at the site and either go nuts figuring out what to do next or, more likely, they simply click their back button - never to return.
I once had a sales manager who told me, “A confused mind always answers ‘No!’ Never give people more than two choices in a sales talk.”
He was right!
Traditional websites give people too many choices and they fail miserably at it, usually before they ever get off the ground.
On the other hand, mini-sites succeed wildly because they have one purpose: to force someone to make a decision!
Mini-sites typically fall into one of four main categories:
- sales letters
- newsletters
- affiliate presales
- intelligence gathering
Virtually every mini-site you ever see will fit one of these categories. Let’s take a look at each type.
Newsletter, or forced-opt-in, mini-sites make up the second type of mini-site.
Their primary purpose is to entice people to sign up for your list, newsletter, or ezine.
But frankly, if you looked at some people’s newsletter sites, you would think their purpose was anything but getting people to sign up for their newsletter!
Once you understand that the primary purpose of your newsletter mini-site is to get a signup, you can eliminate everything else that detracts from that purpose.
The fourth type of mini-site is used to gather marketing or other intelligence from your target niche.
Here you actually use a mini-site to get people to tell you what they want to buy, try, see, give their opinion on a topic, etc.. I call it “Your Most Burning Question.”
You use this type of mini-site to gather information about what people want to know, their overall interest level in your topic, and as a means to get ideas for newsletter and blog content.
The bottom line with an intelligence gathering mini-site is to get people to tell you what you need to know in order to make money selling them something later.
So now the obvious question: Which one do you start with?
The answer: It depends on your purpose right now in your business!
Need to sell your existing product or service? You should set up a sales letter mini-site.
No product to sell? Build an affiliate pre-sell mini-site.
No clue what your target audience wants or if they even want anything at all? Set up an intelligence gathering mini-site and find out what you need to know BEFORE spending months creating a product.
Mini-sites are all about saving time and maximizing your effort through clear focus and purpose.
Once you know exactly what you want to get done online, mini-sites create the fastest, easiest pathway to success.
Hope this clears up any misunderstandings about mini-sites and why they’re so effective… no matter whether you’re a fresh-faced newbie or a battle-hardened online business veteran.
Jim Edwards has put together a course on Minisites that is excellent for anyone who is looking to start building websites and developing a network of minisites selling products, services or affiliate materials.

How can you find good feeds to use in your blog? Any tips for this?
I noticed that you use feeds from feedburner.com. I’m sorry for being a bit dumb but
I visited that site but I can’t find how to search for feeds, could you please suggest?
Thanks,
Noppy
One of the easiest ways is to do a google search for feeds in the niche your in. For instance if you have a niche specific blog on fishing….just type “fishing feeds” in google and see what you get.
Make sure you check the feed to see that it has current posts and check the frequency of posting.
If you don’t know about this one, it’s the yahoo feed.
http://news.search.yahoo.com/news/rss?p=snow+cold
The section after p= are your keywords. If you have multiple keywords or a keyword phrase you have to insert a + between the words as in the example. If its a single word such as “blogging” just add p=blogging.
If you want to get more unique content I would suggest trying the first method first.
